Kylee Koenig is a multimedia artist living in Boise, Idaho. She graduated from Boise State University in 2015 earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Printmaking. While earning her degree, Kylee took on an apprenticeship at a local glass studio where she learned the basics of lampworking. In 2010, she established Torched Glassworks LLC to further pursue her new found love for glass.
Kylee grew up with an attraction to the arts, but it wasn’t until high school that she truly discovered her love to create. Born and raised in Idaho, she grew up surrounded by mountainous landscapes and wilderness which made an impression on her future creative interests. Her primary source of inspiration derives from the life and death of nature in the northwest. She explores various narratives of ocean and western wildlife with a focus on color and texture.
You can find her artwork at select galleries, stores, and Art Fairs in the Northwest as well as the Capital City Public Market, located in Boise Idaho.
Ms. Koenig will be teaching lampwork classes at the 2019 Glass Craft Bead Expo in Las Vegas Nevada.
